Salim Damji, Executive Vice President, Solid Rock Advisors East

Salim Damji is a Cornell-trained twelve year veteran of the lodging industry, who leads Solid Rock's New York office. Prior to joining Solid Rock, Mr. Damji worked with Lodging Advisors, a boutique hospitality advisory firm. At Lodging Advisors, Mr. Damji provided consulting services to institutional clients and developers on North American-based lodging projects. Mr. Damji has also held positions at CB Richard Ellis, Starwood Hotels, and Andersen Consulting where his responsibilities included project due diligence and feasibility, asset valuation and management, development strategy, and contract negotiations for various lodging projects.

Mr. Damji holds a Masters from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration with a focus in real estate finance, as well as an MS in International Business from Erasmus University. Mr. Damji's undergraduate work, a Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate and Finance was completed at the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Damji's expertise has led to speaking engagements at industry associations such as State Hotel Associations and the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers.
